Saturday Class Schedule FALL 2024

Saturday Sept 7th: Welcome Back Class and class placement assessments. 9:00-10:30 am  

 

Regular hours: Tiny Tap 9-10am, Beginner Tap 10-11am and Elementary Tap 11-12pm

 

Saturdays September 14, 21, 28

Saturdays October 5, 19, 26

Saturdays November 2, 9, 16, 30

Saturdays December 7, 14.

 

*No classes October 12 and Nov 23*

*Classes will resume after the Holidays on Saturday, Jan 11th, 2025

 

 

Fall Session Fees (Sept 7 - Dec 14): 

First child: $150 

Additional Siblings: $125

Classes will be charged $12/week remaining for those joining late in the session. ($10/week for additional sibling).

 

 

Classes

 

Tiny Tap - Ages 3-5 (JK and SK) - Learn the basics of tap: explore rhythm, movement and learn how to follow a dance class. 

 

Beginner Tap - Age 6 and up - Foundations of tap dance. Master the tap vocabulary and skills needed for a strong foundation in Tap. 

 

Elementary Tap - Age 7 and up with assessment. Building on our tap foundations. Working on swing syncopation and more intricate steps and patterns. 

 

Junior Tap - Age 9 and up with assessment. (On demand, Saturdays 12-1pm)

Things to Know

 

 

• Please bring a water bottle

• Wear comfortable clothing 

• Have your hair off of the face (ponytail, braids, headband, etc).

• A zip-up sweater is recommended in colder months. 

• Please arrive 5 minutes before the start of class

Tap Shoes

 

We have tap shoes in many (but not all) sizes, available to use at the studio. A $20 deposit can be paid to borrow a pair of tap shoes. $20 will be returned to you when you return the shoes. When you require a larger pair, you can simply trade them in for another pair in on our shoe shelf. Once a trade in takes place, the $20 deposit will go towards the Tap Shoe Fund: used to buy & maintain more shoes for the classes.

 

Tap shoes are easy to find second hand on Facebook market place, and at once upon a child thrift store. If you’d like to purchase new shoes you can visit My Own Design dance boutique in Brampton. We always appreciate shoe donations once you’re outgrown them.
