What We Provide

 

• 16 hours of studio space (to be used within a month)

• Flexible scheduling, subject to availability

• Dedicated time to develop a new tap dance work or artistic exploration

 

The residency currently does not provide artist fees, travel, accommodation, equipment, production expenses, or other project costs.

 

Who Can Apply

 

The residency is open to individual artists and collectives at any career stage. Applicants must have a meaningful connection to tap dance.

 

Projects may involve choreography, music, storytelling, interdisciplinary collaboration, movement research, or other forms of experimentation.

 

The residency is intended for:

 

• New works and early-stage ideas

• New directions within an artist’s practice

• A new phase of exploration within a larger project

 

Completed productions or projects seeking rehearsal time solely for an upcoming performance are not eligible.

 

How Artists Are Selected

 

Applications will be considered based on:

 

• The artistic question or idea being explored

• The project’s connection to tap dance

• Its potential for experimentation and discovery

• Its suitability for a 16-hour residency

• The applicant’s artistic practice and intentions

 

We are interested in strong artistic questions—not polished proposals.
