Children's Tap Classes

Tap Love Tour Children's tap classes offer children age 3 and up and chance to be a part of a lineage of Tap Dance that traces back through Chicago, Harlem and Montreal. This style of tap is a part of Jazz Culture and celebrates expression, uniqueness, and authenticity.

Tiny Tap

Ages 3-5 (JK and SK) - Learn the basics of tap: explore rhythm, movement and learn how to follow a dance class

Saturday
9am - 10am

Beginner Tap

Age 6 and up - Foundations of tap dance. Master the tap vocabulary and skills needed for a strong foundation in Tap.

Saturday
10am - 11am

Elementary Tap

Age 7 and up with assessment. Building on our tap foundations. Working on swing syncopation and more intricate steps and patterns.

Saturday
11am - 12pm

Junior Tap

Age 9 and up with assessment. (On demand, Saturdays 12-1pm)

Saturday
12pm - 1pm

Giving Back to the Community

The Tap Love Kids love to go out into the community and perform. Performing grows confidence, and gives the children a chance to share their talents with their friends and neighbours, and put a smile on someone's face. Tap classes are open to students regardless of financial constraints. Please reach out if you need assistance.
